“A Celebration After Listening to Green”
Close your eyes. Breathe gently. With a listening device resting upon the plants, begin to attune yourself to the subtle symphony of life—the quiet pull of roots drawing water from the earth, the delicate footsteps of ants tracing their paths, the silent unfurling of blossoms, the low, grieving murmur of a tree being cut. As you journey through this act of “listening to green,” images begin to surface and drift through the mind like fragments of a waking dream.
This work unfolds as a poetic encounter between myself, the plants, and the landscapes of imagination that arise in this listening. Within a space of shifting layers and interwoven realities, I came to sense plants not as passive forms, but as living presences—beings with pulse, with voice, with the capacity to respond. In return, I found myself answering through art and poetry, giving form to an inner dialogue that moves between the seen and the unseen.
This installation takes shape as a celebration—a ritual of recognition. It honors our ability to perceive the aliveness of plants, and invites us to enter into relation with them. Let us begin this ritual together: to listen, to feel, and to sing and dance with the green.
