— Letting go of judgment, I simply observed and drew the model, taking time to appreciate each posture and detail.
— I tried out the model’s poses myself, feeling them from within, and began to include parts of my own body in the drawings.
— I drew my own body, looking at myself from different angles, slowly discovering the quiet strength and resources within

— I carried these inner discoveries outward, responding to the world through my own sense of what is gentle, honest, and beautiful.

Doing continuous line drawing on different kinds of paper
One day, the model looked especially tired. In his posture and eyes, I sensed a deep heaviness — he had just lost his job, and with it, his right to stay. I felt moved, and painted a figure walking forward with eyes covered, still choosing to move on with courage. It was my way of sitting with his experience, and quietly offering a sense of hope.
In some way, this painting also echoes what many people in Hong Kong were feeling at the time — uncertainty, loss, and the difficult choice to leave. Through my work, I hope to offer a gentle encouragement: that even in times of fear and change, we can still find the strength to move forward, and to hold space for new beginnings.
At last, the artwork was sold and sent to the Hong Kong couple who immigrated to Barcelona.
